What is JEE Main 2025?
JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination — Main) is India’s largest engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is the gateway to admission in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and also the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced (the IIT entrance exam).
Key fact: JEE Main 2025 was conducted in two sessions — Session 1 (January 22–30, 2025) and Session 2 (April 1–8, 2025). Over 13 lakh students appeared across both sessions. The best of the two scores is considered for ranking.
The NTA officially released the JEE Main 2025 syllabus with slight but important changes from the 2024 syllabus, especially in Physics. Understanding the exact syllabus is the single most important step before starting JEE preparation.
